The primary scope of work addresses the abatement of ACM Flooring/Mastic in select Classrooms, Corridor and 1 set of stairs adjacent to the current STEM addition construction project. The work will be performed in 2 phases. The first phase will begin at the commencement of school on Friday, May 23rd and the second phase will begin in mid-July. The first phase of work consists of setting up containments of 3 existing classrooms and 2 prep rooms on the 1st floor and abatement of ACM flooring/mastic as well as mastic on rubber base including rubber base on existing cabinets. The scope includes demolition of the existing base cabinets and counters in these rooms due to the ACM mastic on the bases. MEP will be disconnected by others. Phase 1 also includes abatement of ACM flooring/mastic at 1 stair (1st and 2nd floor) as well as a portion of the corridor on the 2nd floor. There are 2 small areas of flooring that will be removed as non-friable in Phase 1.
