Exterior Remodeling of Three Early Childhood Centers The Facilities and Operations Department of the Francis Howell School District (District) is requesting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to remodel the exterior of three (3) Early Childhood Centers. Meadows Parkway Early Childhood Central School Road Early Childhood Hackmann Road Early Childhood The purpose of this RFP is for the removal and replacement of vinyl siding, installation of water-resistant house wrap, fascia capping, guttering replacement, and site maintenance during the project. The District will be looking for a proposal that has a price option for each center individually and as an entire project. Section 3.0 - Scope of Work 1. Siding Replacement: Remove and replace all vinyl siding. New siding to be Double 5 profile in a standard color with a minimum thickness of .045". Install water-resistant house wrap before siding installation. All seams must be taped. Cover all painted surfaces at the top of walls with house wrap and vertical siding. All transitions to be flashed with corrosion-resistant flashing and sealed weather tight. 2. Fascia Capping: Cap all fascia using white aluminum coil stock. Ensure installation is secure and weather-tight. 3. Guttering and Downspouts: Remove all existing guttering and downspouts. Install new 7" white guttering with appropriate drainage solutions. 4. Site Maintenance & Clean-Up: Remove all debris from the site daily or place it in a contractor-provided dumpster. Maintain a clean and professional job site. Stock materials in a manner that does not interfere with school operations. Park away from buildings to leave priority spots open for patrons. Provide and maintain an on-site restroom facility for contractor use. Section 5.0 - Contractor Requirements All workers must undergo a background check prior to working on site. Contractor must adhere to prevailing wage requirements. Contractor must be properly licensed and insured.
