This project will construct the required stabilization improvements to West Stroh Gulch within Tanterra Segment 1B. This is an obligation of the developer of that property who will fund 100% of it. Purpose/Discussion West Stroh Gulch is a major drainageway located within the Tanterra development. This drainageway is the subject of an Outfall Systems Plan performed by the Town and the Mile High Flood District (MHFD) which sets forth master-planned stabilization and grade-control improvements to the channel necessary to ensure the long-term stability of the drainageway. This project will construct the segment located in the vicinity of the Tanterra development. Bank stabilization improvements will help secure the sides of the channel and reduce the potential for erosion and impacts to adjacent properties. Grade control structures will reduce the risk of erosion in the channel bottom and help reduce the overall slope of the channel. This will also reduce the velocities in the channel and further prevent sediment transfer that impacts downstream water quality. As of April 24, 2025, this project is included in the city's 2025-2034 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established.
