It is the intent of Uintah County, Utah, ("County") to obtain cost proposals from qualified vendors to supply native asphalt (oil sands) for the use in county operations. This material must meet minimum quality standards and be made available for county pickup within geographic boundaries of Uintah County. Uintah County intends to enter into a contract to purchase up to 8,000 tons of native asphalt (oil sands), with the option to purchase additional quantities if pricing and supply conditions are favorable. Uintah County will weigh material on certified scales. o All materials must contain a bitumen content of no less than 10%. o The County reserves the right to conduct random sampling of materials. Any material tested and found to contain less than 10% bitumen will be rejected. o The delivery/pickup location must be within Uintah County. o Material will be picked up by Uintah County at the specified delivery site as orders are placed.
