Demolition and site work for an educational facility in Morehead, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The Existing Normal Hall Building is located at the intersection of Vaughn Avenue and Martindale Drive on the campus of Morehead State University. The project includes demolition of approximately 27,000 square feet, reinforced concrete frame and masonry infill building and all associated foundations and utility feeds as detailed within the construction documents. Responsible General Contractors who have proper experience, equipment, and qualifications are invited to bid on this work. These factors will be considered in the Award of Contract and all work will be performed under the standard regulations for construction of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The manner and on the date hereinafter specified for the furnishing of all Labor, materials, supplies, tools, appliances, equipment, services, etc., necessary for the NORMAL HALL DEMOLITION PROJECT, as set forth in the specifications and as shown on the drawings for as prepared by JRA ARCHITECTS and approved by Facilities Management, Morehead State University under the terms and conditions of this Invitation. In the manner and on the date hereinafter specified for the furnishing of all Labor, materials, supplies, tools, appliances, equipment, services, etc., necessary for the NORMAL HALL DEMOLITION PROJECT, as set forth in the specifications and as shown on the drawings for as prepared by JRA ARCHITECTS and approved by Facilities Management, Morehead State University under the terms and conditions of this Invitation. Bids will be received from contractors on a Lump Sum Amount for the total project. All phases of the work shall be submitted in the manner herein described and on the official proposal form included with the conditions and specifications and shall be subject to all the conditions as set forth and described in the Bid Documents. Bids shall be submitted only on the Official Forms supplied by Morehead State University, Procurement Services. Failure to comply with the foregoing requirements will be cause for invalidation of bid. Substantial completion shall be 30 calendar days after contract start date. Final completion shall be 45 calendar days after contract start date. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders and/or General Conditions. Bid Description: Bids received after the closing date and time will not be considered. In addition, bids received via fax or e-mail are not acceptable. MSU accepts deliveries of bids Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Bids must be received by the Office of Procurement Services by 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time in order to be considered. Bids shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes and shall show on the face of the envelope: the closing time and date specified, the solicitation number, and the name and address of bidder. Form of Proposal with pricing and qualifications consisting of the experience of the firm, references and the proposed team must be submitted. Question Deadline - 04/30/2025 at 4:30 PM ET - All questions related to this project must be directed to Andrea Stone at a.stone@moreheadstate.edu. Responses to questions will be issued via addendum and posted to the Morehead State online. Questions received after this date and time will not be answered. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Clerical errors and omissions in the computation of the lump sum shall not be cause for withdrawal of the bid without forfeiture of bid bond. Bids may be withdrawn in person only, prior to the closing date for receipt of bids. Morehead State University, Procurement Services, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the University may be served.
