Arling ton Heights ParkDistrict, Cook County, IL, will receive sealed bidsfrom interested trade contractors for 02A-1 Demolition, 03A-1 Building Concrete, 04A-1 Masonry, 05A-1Struc tural Steel, 06A-1 General Trades, 07A-1 Roofing, 08B-1 Aluminum, Glass, and Glaz ing, 09A-1 Drywall,09D-1 Acoustical Ceiling, 09F-1 Flooring, 09G-1 Painting, 13B-1 Swimming Pools, 21A-1 Fire Protection, 22A1 Plumbing, 23A-1 HVAC, 23B-1 Test and Balance, 26A1 Electrical, 31A-1 Excavation, 32A-1 Asphalt Paving,32C-1 Site Concrete, 32F-1 Land scaping, 33A-1 Site Utilities work for Recreation Park - Phase 2 and Recreation Park Community Building Renovation and NewPool & Bath house (Phase 3). The project involves work for Phase 2 and 3 at Recreation Park in Arling ton Heights located at 500 & 501 E Miner Street, Arling ton Heights, IL 60004. Phase 2 includes site work demo li tion, earthwork/mass grading, and infra structure improvement for utilityservices. Also included is the installation of varioussite improvements including new parking lot, walkways, basket ball courts, restroom building, new backstop sports netting, and improve ments to the baseballfield and amenities. Phase 3 includes site work demolition, complete demolition of existing pools and locker room building, earthwork/mass grading, and infra structure improvements.New construction includes additions and renovations tothe Community Build ing and a new 9,850 SF Bathhouse. Also included is a new 50-meter lap pool,wading pool, deck areas, and associated site amenities and improvements. Bidders will then be granted access to Smart Bid to download drawings for free. Lamp Incor po rated will be utilizing Smart Bid for the entire bidding process. All interested bidders must contact Lamp Incorporated to access the Smart Bid Website. All Contractors wish ing to bid on this project must have a Lamp Incorporated Qualification Statement on file, updated within the last year. Contractors' qualification statements are due in Lamp Incorporated' office by 5:00 pm, Tues day, May 13, 2025. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 10% ofthe bid made out to Arlington Heights Park District isto accompany the Bid Form. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% ofthe bid amount, with sureties approved by the owner, and Certificate of Insurance within ten (10) days of the award of the contract. All Performance and Payment Bonds will be in accor dance with the requirements stated in the AIA 232 General Conditions. The success ful bidder is required to pay Prevailing Wage for work under this Contract and shall submit certified payroll records in compliance with the Prevail ing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Contractor(s) selected will also be required to comply with allapplicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and executive orders, including but not limitedto those pertaining to equal employment opportunities. The Board of Commissioners of Arling ton HeightsPark District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any bid irregularities. The Arlington Heights Park District encourages minority business firms and Contractor's complying with the Illinois Apprentice ship Initiative to submit bids on this project. The successful contract bidder is encouraged to utilize minority businesses and those complying with the Illinois Apprentice ship Initiative as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. Bidders failing to demonstrate a thorough under standing of the project and existing conditions may be rejected. This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, "OpenSpace Land Acquisition & Development" (OSLAD)grant program. This project is being financed, in part, with funds fromthe State of Illinois, "Park and Recreation Facility Construction" (PARC) grant program. Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids on the approved project. The successful contract bidder is encouraged to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
