The project involves installing 2,704 feet of 24-inch PVC pipe along westbound Algonquin Road between Busse Road and South Cedar Glen Drive, 693 feet of 8-inch PVC pipe on Dempster Street between Busse Road and West Algonquin Road, and 23 feet of 12-inch VCP pipe at the intersection of Busse Road and west-bound Algonquin Road. The scope of work includes providing all necessary materials, labor, and equipment for the construction of new sanitary sewers using open-cut excavation, constructing new manholes, reconnecting laterals, abandoning the existing sanitary sewer, restoring roadways, implementing traffic control measures, and completing any other miscellaneous tasks required to finish this improvement in accordance with the Plans, Standard Specifications, and Special Provisions. All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check made payable to the Village of Arlington Heights. No bids shall be considered unless accompanied by such security. The Village of Arlington Heights reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities in bidding and to accept the proposal deemed by the Board of Trustees to be the most favorable to the interests of the Village. Bidder's questions will be responded to at that time only. It is suggested, but not required, that any questions regarding the bid documents be submitted to Jim Zaharopoulos and Bobby Peters, prior to the Pre-Bid Conference in order to allow the Village sufficient time to adequately research and prepare a response for the conference. Requests for interpretations of the Bid Documents shall be made in writing, addressed to the Owner, and shall be received by May 14 th , 2025 at 4:00 p.m. All interpretations and supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the Bid Documents.
