APPROXIMATELY: The complete reconstruction of West Grand Avenue between Eighth Street and immediately east of Bluff Street (approximately 1,300 feet), including new 30-inch curb & gutter, HMA pavement, PCC Driveway Aprons, sidewalk replacement, curb ramps, storm sewer, replacement of lead water services, pavement markings, seed lawn restoration, AND MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS ASSOCIATED WITH ABOVE WORK. Completion Date: Aug. 26, 2025 Question Deadline 05/22/2025 BID SECURITY: A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the City of Beloit in the amount of 5% of the Bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee, that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by the City of Beloit. Failure of the part of the Bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the Bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to the City of Beloit as liquidated damages. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the City of Beloit for 110% of the Contract Price for each of the above Bonds, in accordance with the requirement of the Contract Documents. BID REJECTION: The City of Beloit reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid or bids, which best serve the interests of the City of Beloit. BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of the City of Beloit.
