Site work for a water / sewer project in Port Orchard, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of work consists of installing approximately 2,270 linear feet of 18-inch HDPE DR 17 gravity sewer main using pipe bursting to replace existing 15-inch concrete pipe along Olney Avenue SE, in the approximate reference area of SE Horstman Road and approximately 400 feet north of East Illinois Street. The work will also consist of installing approximately 300 linear feet of 8-inch PVC installed via open trench, 290 linear feet of 6-inch side sewers, 12 manholes, 13 cleanouts, and general restoration. The work will be split into two Schedules, Schedule A is the work located within the City of Port Orchard's jurisdiction and Schedule B is the work located within Kitsap County's jurisdiction. All work shall be physically complete within 100 working days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction shall be performed in compliance with the Contract and Drawings for this project and any addenda issued thereto. The District reserves the right to reject any bid, any portion of any bid and/or to reject all bids. A bidder may be required to submit a question in writing. No oral responses to questions by District personnel about the bid will be binding on the District. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a bid guaranty (certified or cashier's check, surety bond, or postal money order) payable to West Sound Utility District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid. The District further reserves the right, but without obligation, to waive informalities and irregularities. The District reserves the right to award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the District. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall execute and return the Contract to the District within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date the Notice of Award is mailed to the Bidder. In case of failure of the Bidder to execute the Contract, the Bidder shall be in default, the Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the District and the District shall have the right to award the Contract to the next lowest responsive, responsible Bidder.
