As of June 11, 2025, the project was awarded to Durable Demolition, with an awarded amount of $300,000. The asbestos removal work includes the removal of friable asbestos containing material (ACM) consisting of thermal system pipe wrap and window glazing and the removal of numerous storage containers, refrigerators, light ballasts, and fluorescent lamps. The demolition work includes the total demolition of the three-story building and 1-story garage including permits, utility disconnections, temporary perimeter chain link fence and gate, building demolition, removal and proper disposal of materials and debris, excavation, backfilling, grading, site restoration, and repairs to an existing building wall to remain. The Old McCourt Building is located at 146 West Washington Street within the City of Bradford. PA 16701. Separate bids will be received for asbestos removal and demolition. A sixtyday bid hold period applies, and ten percent bid security is required. The successful B idder/Contractor shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100% ) of the Contract Price. The Work for the Asbestos Removal Contract (Contract Number 14202-2025-01) will be substantially completed within thirty (30) calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph 14.07B of the General Conditions within forty-five (45) calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
