Project Background During fiscal year 2024-2025 budget process funds were allocated to form a Sub-Committee and seek a professional service to conduct a thorough "needs assessment" study of the Lebanon Public Schools. The Sub-Committee is comprised of members from the Board of Selectman ("BOS"), Board of Finance ("BOF") and Board of Education ("BOE"). The committee engaged with The SLAM Collective for the following scope of service: "The primary intent is to identify the current condition and identify the Projected capital investment required over the next ten (10) years to maintain, repair, or replace major building systems. In addition, a limited review of select site related systems and equipment related to building code and ADA compliance standards will be reviewed." The school facilities included in the assessment were: o Lebanon Elementary School (55,030 s.f.) o Lebanon Middle School (63,350 s.f.) o Lyman Memorial High School (116,025 s.f. ) The assessment team included an Architect, an Electrical Engineer, and a Mechanical Engineer. Experts conducted a field survey, recorded findings, and recommended corrective actions to appropriately maintain the existing facilities. SLAM's approach was organized in four distinct but interrelated tasks identified below. o Task 1: Project Initiation & Data Collection o Task 2: Facility Condition Assessment. o Task 3: Demographics & Enrollment Projections, Capacity & Utilization o Task 4: Facilities Master Planning.
