Reference Number 0000385281 Bid Intent Not Available Job Location: Fremont Older Open Space Preserve The winter storms of 2022/2023 damaged an existing perched culvert running underneath Prospect Road, which is an approximately 10-foot-wide traffic-rated, multi-use asphalt road. The erosion around the 55-foot long, 4-foot-wide corrugated metal pipe (CMP) triggered a slope failure washing out a 10-foot section of the culvert, culvert headwall, and portions of the creek bank. The scope of work includes replacement of those elements and added defensible measures, such as extending the culvert pipe to its original length, constructing a new headwall/footing, AC road repair above the culvert, and embankment stabilization. The Prospect Road Culvert Replacement Project consists of removing and replacing a 10-foot section of the impacted corrugated metal pipe (CMP), construct a reinforced concrete culvert headwall and constituent footing, remove and repair AC roadway uphill of the damaged culvert, and to stabilize the embankment with approved rock rip rap, erosion control BMPS, and District provided seed. August 11, 2025 On-site activities are anticipated to commence October 31, 2025 Work on site complete November 2025 Project Close Out Award of Contract is anticipated to occur on July 9, 2025.
