Site work for a water / sewer project in Redwood City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work includes the installation of approximately 126 linear feet of 60-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe to connecting an existing sanitary sewer Junction Box located on Maple Street to the newly constructed Silicon Valley Clean Water (SVCW) Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Inflow Box. Work also includes the installation of one (1) manhole structure, and other sanitary sewer improvements. Demolition of existing abandoned pipelines may be required as a result of the proposed work. Other items needed and to be constructed, including repair and reconstruction of existing structures affected by the Work. Work shall be completed within 90 (Ninety) Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Costs is approximately $1,400,000. 1.03 SPECIAL CONDITION: A fee of $34,902 per month, which shall be pro-rated by day, will be charged by Silicon Valley Clean Water (SVCW) directly to the City if work is performed inside the inflow box during the wet weather period between October 15 to April 15 due to SVCW's need for use of the flow equalization facility to manage wet weather flows. Work within the inflow box is prohibited during the wet weather period. If the Contractor performs work in the inflow box within the wet weather period, the City shall recover the pro-rated daily fee to be charged by SVCW from the Contractor as additional damages. This amount shall be in addition to liquidated damages that may apply. Question Deadline 05/14/2025 CITY may not answer questions received less than 7 Days prior to the date for opening Bids. Bidders must direct all questions about the meaning or intent of Bidding Documents to City in writing.
