The City of Redwood City is soliciting bids for the Mitchell & Fair Oaks Field Synthetic Turf Replacement Project. The work of this project consists generally of replacement of two synthetic turf soccer fields and one baseball infield, including the associated synthetic turf product, infill material, drainage/shock pad, and infield drainage system; also, associated concrete edge-band removal, fence removal, and fine grading. At Red Morton Park, work on Mitchell Field includes, without limitation, removal and disposal of approximately 90,900 square feet of existing synthetic turf and approximately 10,700 square feet of existing clay infield, along with minor concrete edge-band, fence, and irrigation removal. Installation involves approximately 101,600 square feet of new synthetic turf material for both the soccer and baseball fields, including the synthetic turf product, infill material, drainage/shock pad, infield drainage system and connection to existing City drainage system, and fine grading. At Fair Oaks Field, work includes, without limitation, removal and disposal of approximately 71,150 square feet of existing synthetic turf. Installation involves approximately 71,150 square feet of new synthetic turf material, including the synthetic turf product, infill material, drainage/shock pad, minor concrete edge-bands, and fine grading.
