Box Elder County (the County) has issued this Request for Quote (RFQ) to obtain quotes from companies for elevator modernization in the Historical Court House. The most qualified company will meet the following objectives: A. Modernize the current elevator in the Historical Courthouse to meet all current standards including EC controls/smart rise. B. The elevator shall be modernized and inspected in accordance with ASME A17.1/CSA B44-00 standards and all applicable regulations of federal, state, and local codes and ordinances as adopted by local agencies having jurisdiction. a. References i. American National Standards Institute (ANSI) ii. American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) iii. National Electric Code (NFPA 70) iv. CSA B44.1/ASME A17.5, elevator and escalator electrical equipment requirements. v. CSA B44-00 safety code for elevators b. Qualifications i. The modernization process shall be performed by a company with no less than (5) years of successful experience in the modification of similar type elevators and who has adequate product liability insurance. ii. No proprietary equipment. c.
