Purchase and Installation of 110 Bus Shelters All firms must be prequalified by NJ TRANSIT prior to submitting a Bid. Bidders must be prequalified for "BC" Building Construction (Non-Operating Railroad Environment) as a "GC" (General Contractors) for an amount of work that is equal to or greater than their bid amount. NJ TRANSIT suggests a minimum rating of "I" ($1,000,001 to $2,000,000). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and regulations. NJ TRANSIT requires bidders utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subcontractors/vendors/suppliers to comply with all aspects of NJ TRANSIT's DBE Program in the use of DBE's.
