All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit by a cashier's or certified check, or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit or bond shall be forfeited to the Valley Water District. Valley Water District Alderwood Estates Water Main and Service Line Replacement Project This Contract provides for water main improvements within the Valley Water District. The project is located within Pierce County right-of-way. Work will consist of furnishing and installing up to 195 residential service line replacements, approximately 3,150 linear feet of 8-Inch ductile iron water main, and approximately 305 linear feet of 2-inch polyline water main, and all associated water system materials including water main, fittings, valves, fire hydrants, and water service materials, as well as traffic control and surface restoration, and material testing. The Contractor shall complete all work within 90 working days. The Valley Water District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the bidding, and determine which bid or bidder meets the criteria set forth in the bid documents. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
