The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or portions thereof up until formal award of the bid, to waive minor defects and informalities in the process, to accept the Proposal(s) or take any other actions deemed by the City to be in the City's best interest. Scope: The City of Destin, Florida, is seeking firms to enter into a “contract” to provide various CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE CROSSTOWN CONNECTOR PROJECT for the City. The Crosstown Connector Project will include the construction of a 2-lane roadway approximately .4 of a mile, a roundabout, various connections to existing roadway, underground stormwater retention chambers, stormwater structures and pipes, stormwater swales and ponds, sidewalks, signing and pavement markings, street lighting, and landscaping. This project will be phased. Phase One will include the underground stormwater retention system and connections. Phase Two will include the remainder of the project. Phase One will be let in May of 2025, Phase Two will likely be let in the Fall of 2025. This procurement will include the CEI services for both Phases. Two separate task orders will be issued for the Phases. Exhibit B is the Plan Set, which is attached. The intent of this RFQ is to acquire a broad range of CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE CROSSTOWN CONNECTOR PROJECT for the City. The terms “Consultant” and “Respondent” shall mean the firm submitting for this RFQ and will be used interchangeably in this solicitation.
