Renovation of a military facility in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish and install UL-rated cabling to support security camera integration in three freight elevators. Depending on existing infrastructure, the work may include the installation of conductor cables between the machine room and junction box, or travel cables between the machine room and elevator cartop. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards. Contractors be licensed and certified to perform journeyman-level electrical work and comply with all applicable local and federal regulations. This requirement involves wiring-related services only and does not include the installation or modification of elevator machinery. Offerors are strongly encouraged to review the entire solicitation in its entirety to ensure a complete understanding of all requirements, instructions, and evaluation criteria. SCOPE: Most elevators at GPO are already equipped with cabling between the machine room and the junction box, as well as between the junction box and the elevator cartop. These cables support the installation of security cameras. However, three freight elevators require additional wiring to be camera-ready: Freight Elevator #34: Existing cabling is usable from the junction box to the elevator cartop; however, there are no available cables between the junction box and the machine room. The contractor shall acquire and install a UL-rated conductor (estimated at 125', 5 x 18-gauge), terminating at both the junction box and the machine room. The cable shall be routed through the existing trough in the hoistway. Spare wires shall be identified and labeled for future GPO use. Freight Elevators #39 and #40: No existing cabling is usable. For each elevator, the contractor shall acquire and install a UL-rated travel cable (estimated at 300', 4 x 20-gauge shielded conductors), terminating at the machine room and the elevator cartop. These cables shall be installed external to the troughs in the hoistways. Spare wires shall be identified and labeled for future GPO use. Question Deadline 06/16/2025 at 5:00 PM ET
