The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these Specifications. Estimated quantities for the various sites are summarized as follows: Approx. Estimated Item Quantity Base Bid 1. Material Support Services (Allowance with 10% Contractor Markup) 1 LS 2. Trench Box 16 HR 10. Disposal of Site Spoils (including asphalt, concrete, unsuitable material) 20 CY 11. Superintendent 32 HR 12. Foreman 64 HR 13. Equipment Operator 128 HR 14. Laborer 256 HR 15. Mobilization 10 UN 16. Premium Rate Allowance for Overtime and Holidays (Allowance) 1 LS Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to Susan Dydek, RMC, Township Clerk, 237 South Pavilion Avenue, Riverside, New Jersey 08075, marked on the outside with words: BID: On-Call Maintenance Contract and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified or Cashier's Check in the amount not less than 10% of the amount bid, but not exceeding $20,000. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract. All bidders and the general public are invited to be present for this bid opening. All bids must be submitted on the prescribed bid forms, providing one (1) original and one (1) copy. The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the place on or before the hour named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Performance Bond. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. (Affirmative Action Law); N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration Act); and N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. (Public Works Contractor Registration Act). The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders, who, in the judgment of Riverside Township makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
