Bidders and shall be bid as Single Prime Contract (all trades) OR Multiple Contracts: General Building Construction; Mechanical Construction; Electrical Construction. Project Description: Includes the demolition of the existing Pre-Engineered Metal Building housing the water and sewer department and the construction of a new facility for the department. The new facility will be a single-story Pre-Engineered Metal Building Structure with a concrete slab on grade, frost protected shallow foundations, interior metal stud framing & drywall, and various finishes. Spaces will include offices, break rooms, locker rooms, conference room, lab, meter shop, storage, and other ancillary spaces. In addition to the building, related site construction, paving, landscaping, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents is included. Bid security in the form of a bidder's bond shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after opening of bids. Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Substantial Completion is the bid number of calendar days not to exceed 400 calendar days. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the Bidder's contractor's license and bid security. The Bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the bid Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
