A new 12" water main will be installed along the north side of North Street from S. Lincoln Street to the Norfolk-Southern railroad spur near the Water Treatment Plant. The 12" water main along the Jackson Street Properties (Gary Krueger) land will be installed in a permanent easement. New water services will be provided to the houses and commercial properties. Two swales exist along the north side of North Street and the south side of Jackson Street Properties. The two swales will be combined into one swale within the permanent easement. Two new catch basins will replace the old catch basins. The roadside swale will be filled in and a deeper proposed swale will be installed near the existing Jackson Street Properties swale. The slope off of North Street will be flatter and safer for vehicles. The project will be bid with two Alternates. Alternate A will install the waterlines by traditional trench installation. Alternate B will be by directional drilling. Est. Completion Date: May 31, 2026 Bids must be submitted on the forms within the "BID PACKAGE DOCUMENTS"; must contain the names of every person or company interested therein; and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the amount of 100% of the maximum bid amount with satisfactory corporate surety, or by a certified check or bank check on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the maximum bid amount, subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. The Village of Archbold reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities in any bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the Village of Archbold.
