SR 710 is identified as a strategic intermodal system (SIS) facility moving traffic east-west throughout Palm Beach, Martin and Okeechobee Counties The limit for this project is broken out into two segments. The limit of the first segment is SR 710 from Martin/Okeechobee County Line to FPL Power Plant Access Road (FPID: 453333-2-32-01) and the second segment extends from west of SE 126th Boulevard to Okeechobee/Martin County Line (FPID: 453333-3-32-01). The main work includes milling and resurfacing and reconstructing SR 710 to widening from two lanes to four lanes, provide new shoulders, shared use path and improvements to the following side streets: Tommy Clements Street, Farm Dairy Road, and SW Springhaven Ave. SR 710/SW Warfield Boulevard is a two-lane (one lane in each direction), undivided, north/south roadway with a posted speed limit of 60 mph. The corridor includes 12 ft travel lanes with flushed shoulders.
