** BID SPECS ARE ONLY GIVEN TO CONTRACTORS REQUESTING THE INFORMATION ** Strip and remove all existing shingles from the existing roof of the building located at 401 Firehouse Lane, Florence, New Jersey 08518, replace with GAF 30 Year Timberline Shingles (or approved equivalent), install underlayment using GAF Weather Watch Ice Shield (or approved equivalent), replace any and all plywood sheathing as necessary, replace all pipe flanges: a. Bidders are required to submit their bids on the Bid Proposal Form which is available from the District Administrator during normal business hours. Prior to bidding, the bidder shall conduct a site visit and shall include any additional items, material, etc, necessary to complete the project in the Bid Addenda. The successful bidder must be able to commence work on or before July 30, 2025, and completion shall be within 30 days of the date on which construction is started. The District reserves the right to accept the lowest responsive bid or reject all bids, in the sole discretion of the District. Acceptance or rejection of the bid or bids shall be made not later than at the second regular meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners following the completion of bidding and if the lowest bid is not accepted or if all bids are not rejected, all said bids shall be deemed to have been rejected. The Contract is anticipated to be awarded on or around June 16, 2025. All bidders and bids are subject to the following: Bids must be made on the standard bid form in the manner designated in the bid documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name and number of the contract identified on the outside, addressed to the Administrator, Florence Township Fire District No. 1, 401 Firehouse Lane, Florence, New Jersey 08518. The signed bid must be delivered to the place indicated on or before the date and hour named above.
