All questions must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. May 14, 2025. The Town of Greenwich, CT ("Town") is about 40 miles northeast of New York City and has a population of more than 60,000 people. The Greenwich Public Schools enjoy a national reputation for excellence and have strong support from the community. The Town's fifteen public schools have a current enrollment of approximately 9,000 students and consist of eleven elementary schools (K-5), three middle schools (6-8), and one comprehensive high school (9-12). Our District also offers some pre-K and alternative high school programs. The Old Greenwich Elementary School is the subject of this solicitation. The Old Greenwich School Building Committee ("OGSBC") is requesting written proposals for DEEP Inspection Services for the Old Greenwich School Project described below (the "Project"). The Project consists of a phased, occupied alteration of the existing 70,000 + square foot Old Greenwich School building and the design and construction of a new, 7,000 plus square foot 4 classroom addition. The Project includes ADA improvements, site improvements and upgrades to the existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems as set forth in the Educational Specification dated June 21, 2023. The Project budget is approximately Forty-four Million Dollars ($44,000,000). Construction is expected to start approximately June of 2025. The Project will be funded in part by a school construction grant from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services, Office of School Construction Grants (hereinafter referred to as the ("DAS/OSCG"). The Project must comply with the standards of DAS/OSCG, the Connecticut Building Codes governing School Construction, the Educational Specifications and requirements of Greenwich Public Schools of Education of the Town of Greenwich and of the OGSBC, the Town regulations, all requirements for accessibility to the handicapped, and any other applicable laws and regulations (hereinafter referred to as the "Project Requirements"). The OGSBC reserves the right to withdraw this Request for Proposals ("RFP") at any time prior to execution of a contract awarded in connection herewith, to accept or reject any or all proposals or any part thereof, to waive defects in same, to waive technicalities, to accept any proposal and to award the contract or contracts, to the proposer or proposers that the OGSBC, in its sole discretion, determines to be the most responsive, qualified, and responsible proposer (which may not be the proposer submitting the lowest priced proposal), and which award would be in the best interests of the Town. The Old Greenwich School Building Committee is requesting proposals for DEEP Inspection Services. This RFP is being issued by the Old Greenwich School Building Committee/Greenwich Public Schools, hereinafter referred to as the "Owner".
