The project consists of modification of existing in-ground structures; lining existing 60" & 78" sewers; construction of a new 60" overflow sewer and associated structures; construction of an above-grade control structure; and installation/integration of controls systems for management of flows in the riverfront interceptor. Est. Completion Date: Dec. 31, 2026 General: The Work, includes, but is not limited to, furnishing labor, materials, equipment, supplies and services for providing: 1. Near the foot of South Street in the City of Peoria, Illinois: a. Traffic control. b. Cleaning of approximately 510 linear feet of 60- through 78-inch diameter existing sewers to be lined as well as adjacent manholes. c. CCTV of the existing sewers to be lined as well as adjacent manholes. d. CIPP lining of the existing sewers and reinstating laterals. e. Replacement of manhole chimneys, cones, frames, covers, and other manhole components that may have been removed for CIPP lining. f. CCTV of sewers that were lined as well as adjacent manholes. g. Flap valve structure modifications. h. Sluice gate demolition and a new 15" sluice gate and high pressure hydraulic cylinder operator in an existing gate manhole. i. A new below grade regulator structure with a new 60-inch sluice gate and motorized operator, 60" flap valve, and diversion weir assembly. j. A new below grade tee manhole. k. A new below grade interceptor connection structure. l. Approximately 559 linear feet of new 60-inch diameter throttle piping via open-cut construction. m. CCTV of new 60-inch throttle piping, regulator structure, tee manhole, and interceptor connection structure. n. A new above grade gate control structure with a pump and appurtenances to operate the high pressure hydraulic cylinder operator, along with appurtenant work. o. New 6-inch hydraulic tubing casing and hydraulic tubing, conduit, and duct banks via open-cut construction. p. Restoration. q. Erosion and sedimentation control. 2. Cellular communication, integration, and appurtenances at the new gate control structure and integration at the Darst Street Wastewater Treatment Plant. 3. Appurtenant civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, process, instrumentation, and controls work as well as integration, testing, startup, commissioning, training, and other appurtenant Work as shown and specified in the Contract Documents titled Riverfront Conveyance Improvements - South Street and Phase 2 Gate Control Modifications. B. The Work includes: 1. Furnishing of labor, material, superintendence, plant, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, services and other means of construction necessary or proper for performing and completing the Work. 2. Sole responsibility for adequacy of plant and equipment. 3. Maintaining the Work area and site in a clean and acceptable manner. 4. Maintaining existing facilities in service at all times except where specifically provided for otherwise herein. 5. Protection of finished and unfinished Work. 6. Repair and restoration of Work damaged during construction. 7. Remove, replace, relocate, repair, rebuild, and secure any utility installations and structures damaged as a direct or indirect result of the Work under this contract at no additional cost to the owner. 8. Furnishing as necessary proper equipment and machinery, of a sufficient capacity, to facilitate the Work and to handle emergencies normally encountered in Work of this character. 9. Furnishing, installing, and protecting necessary guides, track rails, bearing plates, anchor and attachment bolts, and other appurtenances needed for the installation of the devices included in the equipment specified. Make anchor bolts of appropriate size, strength and material for the purpose intended where not specifically shown or specified. Furnish substantial templates and shop drawings for installation. 10. Railroad, local, county, state and federal permits required to perform the work as required by the Contract Documents are the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR to obtain unless already obtained by the OWNER. Question Deadline 06/24/2025 Any such request, including requests for substitution of specified item(s), shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the start of the Bid Acceptance Period.
