**As of August 1, 2025, project was awarded to William Charles, awarded amount is $ 9,359,072.53 with Additional Authorization of $640,927.47 (6.9%) for Contingencies, for a Total Contract Award of $10,000,000.00.** The proposed improvements consist of rehabilitating 0.57 miles of MacArthur Highway from Howett Street to 4th Street and includes removing portions of the existing roadway and appurtenances and the construction of: storm sewers (3,960 ft); drainage structures (93 each); PCC pavement (1,004 sq yd); PCC concrete base course (4,054 sq yd); asphalt pavement (3,045 tons); pavement patching (125 sq yd); sidewalk (30,727 sq ft); concrete curb and gutter (6,615 ft); sodding (7,746 sq yd); aggregate base course (1,463 tons); PCC driveway pavement (603 sq yd); water main (577 ft); traffic signals (at 3 intersections); green infrastructure elements; pavement markings; and related work. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and M/WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All work shall be in compliance with specifications and all state and federal laws and regulations. All proposals must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required under this contract. The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.
