Vendors may not contact any other County Departments or Staff with inquiries regarding this RFQ Contractors selected through this RFQ will be eligible to bid on rehabilitation work associated with the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Program. Typical scopes of work may include, but are not limited to: o Roof replacement o Window and door replacement o Siding repairs or replacement o HVAC system updates o Plumbing and electrical repairs or code updates o Lead paint remediation o Structural improvements o General health and safety code compliance Contractors will be expected to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including, but not limited to, Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, Section 3 hiring practices, and EPA lead safety rules. Peoria County Department of Planning and Zoning intends to apply for grant funding from the DCEO for the CDBG - Housing Rehabilitation to support the rehabilitation of single-family, owner-occupied residential homes located within unincorporated Peoria County. Grant funds may be used for a variety of eligible improvements, including: o Roof, window and siding replacement o HVAC, electrical, and plumbing upgrades o Structural repairs and code compliance work o Energy efficiency improvements All general contractors must be EPA RRP-certified. Licensed lead contractors will be prioritized. Sub-contractors may be retained for specialized trades such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
