Establish multiple contracts with qualified suppliers to provide inspection, testing, and maintenance of water based fire protection systems as described herein to all Commonwealth of Virginia agencies, institutions of higher education, or other public bodies (collectively "Authorized Users/Owners") as defined in the Code of Virginia 2.2-1110, 2.2-1120, and 2.2-4301) according to the terms, conditions and specifications provided. The initial period of the contract will be for one (1) year with the start date to be determined at the time of the award with four (4) optional successive one (1) year renewal periods. BACKGROUND: o The need for Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire protection systems is vital to the safety of all Commonwealth of Virginia agencies, institutions of higher education and other public bodies (Authorized Users/Owners). The current contract has been in place since 2013 and is nearing the end of the last term of the contract. The Division of Purchases & Supply is conducting this solicitation on behalf of all Authorized users. o Anticipated usage The usage data for the current contract term (September 30, 2018 - current) is $2,642,995.00
