Renovation of a mixed-use development in Santa Maria, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Governing board ("Board") of the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District ("District") will receive sealed bids for the following project, Santa Maria High School Gym Ceiling Lead Stabilization and Painting Project ("Project" or "Contract"): The Project consists of: The furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services, and incidentals necessary for the work specified at the existing Santa Maria High School (SMHS) large gymnasium located at 901 South Broadway, Santa Maria, CA. Work will include but is not limited to proper surface protection and preparation of the interior gymnasium main room area to support work including stabilization of existing deteriorated lead paint on metal beams, columns, and ceiling, proper disposal of lead material, and installation of primer and paint coatings as more fully described in the bid documents. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s) : C-33 and be registered with DOSH, certified to conduct lead-based paint activities pursuant to 40CFR Part 745.226, and hold a California Department of Public Health - Lead Related Construction (CDPH-LRC) certification . A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The successful Bidder will be required to certify that it either meets the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") goal of three percent (3%) participation or made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation in this Contract if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The District shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on: A. The base bid amount only . The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
