As of June 6, 2025, the bidding process has been postponed until further notice. The bids shall be submitted in triplicates, sealed and clearly marked "Schuylkill County Emergency Services Training Facility": Contract No. 1: General Construction", "Schuylkill County Emergency Services Training Facility": Contract No. 2: Plumbing Construction", "Schuylkill County Emergency Services Training Facility": Contract No. 3: HVAC Construction, "Schuylkill County Emergency Services Training Facility": and Contract No. 4: Electrical Construction" "Schuylkill County Emergency Services Training Facility". Bidder's proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check or bid bond in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid together with 10% of the aggregated sum of all additive alternates. The surety will name as payee or oblige the County of Schuylkill. The successful bidder shall be required to submit Performance Bond and Labor and materials Payment Bond, along with Certificate of Insurance. Bids may be held by the owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the Contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing Davis-Bacon Wage Rates, Non-discrimination in hiring practices, Goals for Minority and female participation, E-Verify Compliance and any other related matters. Please note that any and all substitutions and changes in materials and details shall be approved by the Owner and the architect, in writing, prior to the bid opening and no substitutions or changes shall be allowed once the contract is awarded. The County is not legally obligated in any manner to accept any bid or award a contract. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding and the owner will award the contract to the bidder whom the owner considers to be most qualified, responsible low bidder, regardless of the bid amount.
