Demolition, site work and renovation of an educational facility in Maryville, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

A. Scope: The project includes the following general scope descriptions: o The removal of steam service to ten (10) existing buildings (Administration Building, Chiller Plant, Wells Hall, Perrin Hall, Roberta Hall, Valk Center, Colden Hall, Student Union, Brown Hall, and South Complex). The steam service and the associated condensate service for the buildings included above shall be removed back to the existing Central Boiler Plant. o The construction of three (3) new hydronic boiler plants including heat exchangers, pumps, hydronic accessories, piping, and controls to serve these ten (10) buildings. o The replacement of the existing heating water loop pumps and associated hydronic accessories at Wells Hall, Perrin Hall, Roberta Hall, Colden Hall, and South Complex. o The replacement of unit heaters, variable air volume boxes, and radiators at the Student Recreation facility. o The replacement of AHU steam heating coils at Roberta Hall with new hydronic coils. o The replacement of the existing steam-fired water heaters located within Perrin Hall, Roberta Hall, Student Union, and South Complex with new gas-firedwater heaters. o The replacement of the existing steam-fired water heaters located within Colden Hall with new electric water heaters. o Installation of temporary domestic water heaters at the Student Union to accommodate construction activities. o The addition of a new egress door and associated stairs at the Administration Building mechanical room. o The addition of a new mechanical room egress door and new chases within Colden Hall. o The replacement of an existing storage room door at Wells Hall. o Infilling an existing hole within the existing concrete slab on grade at Wells Hall. o Connect the new boiler system at the Administration Building to the new Direct Digital Control system which is being provided under a separate contract. o Install new Direct Digital Control system to control the new boiler plant at Perrin Hall. o Install new Direct Digital Control system to control the new boiler plant at Colden Hall. o Connect all new equipment, sensors, and valves to the existing control systems at Wells Hall, Chiller Plant, Valk Center, Roberta Hall, South Complex. o Connect all new equipment, sensors and valves at Student Union, and Brown Hall to the new Direct Digital Control systems which are being provided under a separate contract. o The removal and replacement of the existing steam tunnel tops in select areas of the scope of work. o Routing a new gas distribution system from the existing campus regulator station to five (5) buildings. o A new gas service provided by the gas utility company to South Complex. o The creation of an exterior screen wall at the existing natural gas regulator substation. o Install new Direct Digital Controls to control the existing tunnel exhaust fans and make-up air dampers for the tunnels within the scope of work. o Rerouting domestic cold water and medium voltage power at the existing Boiler House to prepare for its demolition. o Addition of new retaining walls at the area of the existing Boiler House to allow for its demolition. o Demolition of the existing Boiler House and all associated items. o Re-grading the soil in the area of the existing Boiler House after it has been demolished. o Capping the existing steam tunnels at the area of the existing Boiler House after it has been demolished. B. MBE/WBE/SDVE Goals: MBE 10%, WBE 10% & SDVE 3% Note: Only MBE/WBE firms certified by a State of Missouri public entity, and SDVE(s) meeting the requirements of Section 34.074, RSMo, and 1 CSR 30-5.010,as of the date of bid opening, can be used to satisfy the MBE/WBE/SDVE participation goals for this Project. A. Northwest reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days subsequent to the specified bid opening time. The contractor shall pay not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and as set out in the detailed plans and specifications. B. Bid results will be available by contacting the buyer after it is verified that at least one bid is awardable and affordable.
