No definite date for the rebid.** Two separate projects: Monaca Gateway Roundabout Waterline Replacement Rebuild for Belt Filter Press, Klampress Type 85 (1.0 meter) Bids will be opened publicly by the Borough Manager on the date and hour set above for the bid closing. The Gateway Roundabout Waterline Replacement project involves the replacement of approximately 1,220 linear feet of waterline with 6" ductile iron pipe and the installation of associated hydrants, valves, service lines and fittings on Pennsylvania Ave. The Rebuild for Belt Filter Press, Klampress Type 85 (1.0 meter) project involves rebuilding equipment at the wastewater treatment plant. The Invitation, preparation and submittal of bidding requirements, all materials furnished, and all work shall conform to all applicable parts of the contract documents. All questions regarding the plans and specifications for this project must be emailed to MonacaProjects@widmerengineering.com . All questions and answers will be posted on the bid advertisement page. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time set for the bid opening. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Check, Money Order, or Bidder Surety Bond equaling ten (10) percent of the bid amount as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract shall be entered into and its' performance properly secured. Upon successful award of the contract, a 100% Performance, 100% Payment and 100% Maintenance Bond shall be required. The minimum wage rates for each craft or classification of all workmen needed to perform each contract during the anticipated term hereof shall be governed by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rate Determination attached to the bidding documents. Bids, whether mailed or delivered in person, shall be sealed and marked "Bid for Monaca Gateway Roundabout Waterline Replacement" or "Bid for Rebuild of Belt Filter Press" on the outside. The Borough of Monaca reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids and to award the contract in the best interest of the Borough.
