Site work for a water / sewer project in Asheville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Asheville Water Resources Department is seeking the services of a qualified engineering firm to develop the design, contract documents and specifications for a new proposed water transmission main extending from City of Asheville's North Fork Water Treatment Plant to the water system's transmission mains interconnection location at 618 Bee Tree Rd, known as Bee Tree Junction. The selected firm will provide timely, cost-effective, and quality professional services to support the City of Asheville's Water Resources Department's efforts to successfully accomplish this project. In addition the selected firm will provide: Project Management, Meetings, and Quality Assurance / Quality Control Data Collection and Interpretation Provide Hydraulic Analysis for Transmission Main Design and Potentially Provide Open Channel Hydraulic Analysis for the Left Fork of the Swannanoa at Critical Alignment Points. Development of Detailed Design Drawings and Specifications Provide Easement Acquisition Services, Including any Necessary Survey Plats. Coordination and Communication with Regulatory Agencies, Including Permitting Acquisition. Detailed Construction Cost Estimates for the Project Develop an assessment to evaluate the existing water system from natural hazard risk. Bid Phase Services Construction Phase and Resident Project Representation (RPR) Services Certifications of compliance and design with applicable FEMA Consensus Based Codes, Specifications and Standards. Other services as needed, to meet project goals. Deadline to Submit Questions Friday, May 16, 2025: 5:00 PM EDT. Addendum Posting Friday, May 23, 2025: 5:00 PM EDT. All questions concerning this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) should be submitted via email to: Chad Pierce, Water Engineering Services Manager cpierce@ashevillenc.gov. The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any and/or all Responses to this RFQ. All Responses received will be public records, pursuant to the laws of North Carolina. Any proprietary, trade secret, or confidential information must be so designated at the time of submittal and must in fact constitute such under North Carolina law, as required by NCGS 132-1.2. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
