The City of Asheville is requesting the submission of qualified contractors to complete labor and supply materials to modernize one (1) existing geared basement mount traction passenger el The City of Asheville requires the assistance of a contractor to complete labor and supply materials to modernize one (1) existing geared basement mount traction passenger elevator. This work will include: Non-proprietary microprocessor based controllers, drives, selectors and wiring. Non-proprietary door operators and related equipment. New hoist machines, ropes and ascending brakes, cab interiors, car doors, hatch doors, ceilings, and fronts as described in the scope of work, signal fixtures in the cars and hallways, accessibility provisions for physically disabled person, equipment and devices as required for safely operating the specified elevators at their rated speed and capacity, materials and accessories as required to complete the elevator modernization and pits and machine room floor shall be painted upon completion by the elevator contractor. Elevator Maintenance warranty service is to also be provided by the contractor. The contractor will be responsible for all permits for the project. The contractor and/or subcontractor will provide a consistent project manager to be present when their staff is working during the project time frame.
