The City of Orange City, Florida is accepting sealed quotes from qualified Contractors to mow, edge, and blow the right of way of the northbound and southbound lanes of Volusia Ave (US 17-92) from Saxon Blvd to south of the SR 472 interchange and at the SR 472 interchange, the Northbound ramp to eastbound SR 472. On Volusia Ave (US 17-92), maintenance is only in the right-of-way along the outer travel lanes of the roadway to include: edging along the curb and sidewalk. City staff will maintain the medians. It is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that all documents have been downloaded and reviewed prior to submitting a bid. The Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following items: The Contractor will mow, edge, and blow the right of way along the Northbound and Southbound lanes of Volusia Ave in Orange City. Mowing areas will include frontage of non-developed lots along the route as well as stormwater swales. Maintain grass height appropriate to the season and perform routine weed removal or application of herbicides to prevent further weed growth. Edging along curb, sidewalks, and driveways, to provide a clean and professional finish with blowing of clippings to ensure cleanliness. The SR 472 interchange should include mowing, edging, blowing of the right of way including sidewalks along Volusia Ave, and the mowing of the right of way along SR 472 on-ramp. Exhibit "A" - Map of Work Sites outlines the sites where the work is to be performed by the Contractor and it is attached herein to this Quote. PRICING: Contractors will submit unit pricing on the Bid Form (Schedule of Bid Prices) on the attached form. The Unit Price and Total Price shall be inclusive of all associated costs. CONTRACT AND CONTRACT TIME: The City intends to issue a Miscellaneous Agreement to the awarded Contractor. Contractors should review the City's Standard Contract Terms and Conditions and Supplemental Conditions as detailed in the Miscellaneous Agreement. Contract time for this project will be two years from the date of execution of the Miscellaneous Agreement. INSURANCE: The City's standard insurance requirements are listed as Exhibit "A" to the Miscellaneous Agreement. Evidence of insurance shall be included with the contractor's submitted quote.
