Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Marcola, Oregon. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
**As of August 4, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Location: Work under this Task order for the Department of the Interior -Shotgun Recreation Site is located approximately 5 miles north of Marcola, Oregon on Shotgun Creek Road. Shelter Repairs. The Work includes labor, equipment and materials to complete removal and replacement of existing masonry fireplace and single roof of shelter 1, along with removal and optional replacement of masonry fireplace of shelter 2. Shelter 1 has an existing shingle roof area of approximately 2750 SF and needs new roof decking and a new metal roof system installed. Both shelters have deteriorating fireplaces that need removal, replacement is required for shelter 1 with a prefabricated fireplace. Shelter 2 will have its fireplace replaced with an identical fireplace that is installed at shelter 1 if this option is selected, along with replacement of gutters/downspouts along the side of the fireplace. If this option is not selected, the metal roof of shelter 2 will need to be patched and a new section of gutters/downspouts installed along the side of the shelter where the fireplace is currently located.
