Scope Of Work: 1. BACKGROUND The City of Treasure Island is looking to contact with a qualified vendor(s) to resurface eight clay tennis courts - two stadium and six standard courts - at the Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis Facility. Preference will be given to vendors who will be able to commence and complete all work between May and September during the facility's slower season. 2. GENERAL SCOPE Scope - Work to be Performed 1. Court Closure: No more than four (4) clay courts will be closed for resurfacing at any given time for the duration of the work. The remaining four (4) clay courts and two (2) asphalt courts will be available for the purpose of tennis play and programming. 2. Tennis Court Material/Court Surfacing: A surface course of fast dry tennis court surface material as manufactured by Har Tru or pre-approved equivalent. The surface court material shall then be watered to its full depth and compacted with a roller. A minimum of 5.6 tons of court material will be required for each court. 3. Clean courts of all excess dead material, surface algae or mold. 4. Remove excess material from low end of court. Either apply excess clay to high end of court or dispose of material. 5. Treat the courts using an algaecide to inhibit future organic growth. 6. Mechanically scarify the entire court surface with a hydraulically controlled scarification blade. 7. Add approximately 5.6 tons of Har Tru material to each court. The material shall be placed with laser-guided grading equipment to provide a smooth and even surface. 8. Courts shall be rolled twice after the placement of the Har Tru material and once more after installation of the line tapes. 9. Install new herringbone style line tapes on each of the courts. 10. Remove existing net posts and replace with new aluminum net posts with external wind (cranks). The existing nets shall be reinstalled. 11. Contractor will complete all preparation work and dispose of all excess material, if applicable. Contractor shall stage and secure work area at the Treasure Bay facility. 12. Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits. Any proposals received after the specified date and time will not be considered.
