Renovation of a fire / police facility in Judith Gap, Montana. Working plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
**As of August 7th, 2025, no bids received. No definite date for the rebid.** Notice is being published in the Lewistown News Argus with publication dates of June 4, 2025 and June 18, 2025. All interested and capable persons or entities are invited to submit bids on the bid form included with this package. The project consists of improvements at the site of the Moore Fire Department, Garneill Station at 30 Garneill Loop, Garneill, Montana, as delineated in the contract documents. Contractor and any of the Contractor's Subcontractors bidding or doing work on the project will be required to be registered with the Montanan Department of Labor and Industry prior to execution of the Agreement. Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, MT 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of tier race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The successful bidder will be expected to enter into a contract with MRFD. The form of the contract is included within this package. However, MRFD reserves the right to make changes to the contract which do not affect the substantial rights of the parties. All bids shall remain effective for a period of fourteen (14) days from the date of opening. At some time during the fourteen (14) day period, the successful bidder will be expected to enter into the contract. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid that is in the best interest of the Owner. MRFD is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Pursuant to Section 18-1-102, Montana Code Annotated, MRFD will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder without regard to residency. However, a resident must be allowed a preference on a contract against the bid of a nonresident if the state or country of the nonresident enforces a preference for residents. The preference must be equal to the preference given in the other state or country. According to Section 18-1-113, Montana Code Annotated, any bidder seeking a preference shall be required to file, along with the bid, an affidavit, specifying in detail, the basis upon which the bidder claims a preference. The successful bidder shall be expected to abide by all provisions of state and federal law regarding discrimination. One such provision, in Montana law, is Section 49-3-207, Montana Code Annotated, which states; [A] every state of local contract or subcontract for construction of public buildings or for other public work or for goods or services must contain a provision that all hiring must be on the basis of merit and qualifications and a provision that there may not be discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, political ideas, sex, age, marriage status, physical or mental disability, or national origin by the persons performing the contract. Each bidder is expected to be familiar with and abide by all laws of the federal, state, and local governments regarding their obligations in bidding and performing public contacts. PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDING (PEMB). COMPONENTS INCLUDE STEEL FRAMES, WALL ROOF PURLINS, METAL SIDING, INTERIOR METAL LINER PANELS FOR WALLS AND CEILING AND ALL ASSOCIATED HARDWARE, CLIPS, BRACES, ETC. ON A CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE BASE. ENGINEERED MONTANA STAMPED PEMB DRAWINGS WILL BE PROVIDED AT THE TIME OF BUILDING DELIVERY The project consists of improvements at the site of the Moore Fire Department, Garneill Station at 30 Garneill Loop, Garneill, Montana, as delineated in the contract documents.
