Site work and renovation of a civil project in Norton, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of 7/28/2025 - per Engineer - There were no bids received. Plans for rebidding is not known yet. Plans and Specifications are for viewing purposes only. You must register with the contact Stacey Louiso srlouiso@matternandcraig.com from Mattern and Craig to receive a weblink with documents in order to be an eligible bidder. PLEASE NOTE: The estimated value listed for this project is for searchability purposes only and does not reflect the actual construction budget as determined by the owner. It should not be used for estimation purposes at this time. The Project includes the following Work, to be bid under three (3) separate contracts: Contract 2 consists of approximately 3,180 LF of 18", 570 LF of 10" and 1,275 LF of 8" new gravity line; 35 manholes; one lift station with emergency generator and 1,510 LF of 6" force main; and appurtenances. Bidders must be licensed as a Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The bidder's attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia. Withdrawal of bid due to error shall be in accordance with Title 2.2, Chapter 43 (2.2-4330, Paragraph B.1) of the Code of Virginia. The project will be funded through the Virginia Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund (VCWRLF) Program as administered by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Southwest Regional Office (DEQ-SWRO). MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President's Executive Order# 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed,sex or national origin;the President's ExecutiveOrders# 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Davis-Bacon Act; American IronandSteel provisions contained in SubpartJof theVCWRLF ContractInserts, andMBE/WBE provisions contained in Subpart C. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilitiesthat are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Doc note: The designated web link will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered online, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated web link. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Beckner, PE Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The nonrefundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $ 250.00 per set per contract, payable to Mattern & Craig plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon the Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. All Contractor questions shall be in writing. Cut-off for questions will be noon on Friday, July 11, 2025 as per Addendum 1
