Sealed bids from Contractors for the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade at Doolan Apartments for the Fall River Housing Authority in Fall River Massachusetts The Project consists of: Installation of Transformers, Meter Banks, Duct banks (trenching), Walkway cutting and patching Coring of walls, relocation of HVAC Condensing unit. LOCATION OF WORK A. The work of this Contract shall be performed at the Doolan Apartments a Federal Housing Development Site in Fall River, MA respectively located at 83 Mittchell Drive, Fall River, MA. 1.02 GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK A. The work to be done under this contract consists of replacement of existing Smoke Detectors and installation of new Smoke Detectors in 51 buildings. B. The work to be done also includes but not limited to: 1. Coordination with utility and Owner. 2. Replacement and Installation of Transformers, Meter Banks, Duct banks (trenching), Walkway cutting and patching Coring of walls, relocation of HVAC Condensing unit. C. The General Contractor shall be responsible for all aspects of the project, except as otherwise provided by specific indication herein or on the drawings, necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools, water, machinery, implements, light, power, transportation, and other facilities required, and do all work necessary for the complete execution and completion of the Contract, except that work or materials specifically stated to be done or furnished by others. D. All work and materials furnished and installed shall be of the best quality and workmanship, and to the satisfaction of the Architect. There shall be no defect in the work or the operation due to inferior materials or workmanship. The work under this contract shall be performed at such times as may be necessary to facilitate the orderly progress of the work. It is the intention of these Specifications and Plans to cover all work necessary and incidental to the completion of this project, including all trades, as shown on the drawings or specified. E. The building will be occupied during the course of the work. All work shall be completed in an expedited manner to allow minimal downtime of the building heating and domestic hot water systems, generators, and other appliances throughout the building. It is in the best interest of the Contractor to complete as much work as possible prior to shutdown and changeover of the gas piping. F. Sample Unit: None G. Contractor shall provide all building inspections, plumbing inspections, etc. as required for Fall River Housing Authority Doolan Apartments Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade General Scope of the Work 01.11.00 - 2 of 3 a complete installation. The Contractor shall coordinate all required inspections with the Authorities Having Jurisdiction. Question Deadline 06/20/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Fall River Housing Authority. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of ELECTRICAL. SITE VISIT BY APPOINTMENT: NONE
