**As of September 11, 2025, the project was awarded to LAL Construction, with an awarded amount of $1,529,006.95** Bids are being solicited for the 2025 Street Improvement Project on behalf of the City of Fall River, under the direction of the Engineering Department in accordance with the listed specifications. An original, plus (3) three copies and a USB must be submitted in a sealed envelope, with IFB #26-07 clearly marked on the exterior of the envelope. Bids received after the date and time specified will be deemed late, rejected and returned unopened. MBE/WBE Businesses are encouraged to participate. This project has a 5% goal and applicable compliance forms must be submitted with each bid. Each bid must include a bid deposit equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid considering all alternates. The bid deposit may be in the form of cash, certified check, bank treasurers of cashier's check, or a bid bond from a responsible surety company licensed to do business in the state of Massachusetts. Each bidder must be prequalified in accordance with 720CMR 5.00, "Prequalification of Contractors" by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Highway Division (MassDOT Highway Division) with the class of work as"HIGHWAY - CONSTRUCTION" for the project with an estimated value of $1,716,500.00. The City of Fall River reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the submission received. The City of Fall River reserves the right to reject any/all proposals when deemed in the best interest of the City of Fall River.The City of Fall River shall be the sole judge of equivalency and acceptability.The City Engineer intends to award a contract on behalf of the City of Fall River within thirty (30)days after the bid opening CONSTRUCTION IS EXPECTED TO COMMENCE NO SOONER THAN OCTOBER 1, 2025.
