The Mahanoy Area School District is accepting bids for the installation of bollards at our Elementary School entrance. Bids will be awarded at the public meeting held on June 26, 2025. The Mahanoy Area School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities and accept bids as it considers being in the best interest of the school district. Sealed bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Mahanoy Area School District. Checks or bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after the contract has been awarded, or the bids rejected. The successful bidder's check or bond will be returned when their contract has been properly completed. In case the successful bidder fails to enter into contract within ten (10) days after notification of acceptance of bid, said check or bond shall be forfeited to the School District. The Non-Collusion Affidavit must accompany all bids. Bids must remain in force for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening, and may be rejected any time prior to the expiration of said date. All submittals required in technical specifications must be submitted to John Kowalski, AEM Architects at jdkowalski@aem-arch.com. Bidder must ensure project is completed by August 15, 2025. Bidder shall be subjected to liquidated damages equal to $250.00 per day for each day project is not completed.
