Renovation of a detention facility in Racine, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Transfer Switch Replacement at the Racine County Law Enforcement Center (LEC). submit any/all questions in writing to Duane McKinney, Procurement Agent, by 4:00 pm on Monday June 23, 2025, by e-mail for interpretation or correction of any of the printed material. E-mail: Duane.McKinney@racinecounty.com WORK INCLUDED A. The mention of any article, operation or method requires that the Contractor shall provide same and work in complete accordance with the conditions stated. The contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, tools and transportation as needed to complete the project according to contract documents. This work includes all items to complete the electrical installation of all items indicated on the drawings, specified herein, and needed for a complete and operable facility but not specifically described in any other sections of this document. Among the items required are: 1. Temporary power and lighting. Contractor shall provide a generator to temporarily power Panel DP/4 and MDP 208 while equipment switch over takes place New conduit and feeders as required. Existing conduit and conductors may be reused where possible. Pul new feeders if existing feeder conductors are not long enough. 3. Systems: a Emergency generator automatic transfer switch. 4. Replace panel MDP 480. 5. Necessary equipment as shown on plans. 6. All items and appurtenances necessary, reasonably incidental or customarily included, even though each and every item is not specifically called out for or shown. 7. Demo work as required. Relocate existing items as required. See drawings and notes. B. Scope of work includes replacing existing automatic transfer switch ATS #2 and panel MDP 480. Provide temporary normal utility power and temporary existing emergency generator power during power shutdowns. As much work as possible shall be done during normal business hours. All power shutdowns shall be done overnight during off hours. Coordinate all power shutdowns with owner. Background checks will be done on all contractor employees working at the Law Enforcement Center Building by Racine County.
