Project Description: The work under this contract includes the removal and replacement of failed concrete sidewalks, driveways, curb and gutter, and other public walkways and the installation of new sidewalk areas citywide. The City of Racine reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities or accept that bid which, in the opinion of the owner, will serve the best interest of the City. This contract also includes work that is incidental to the replacement of sidewalk including root removal, root grinding, sawcutting, curb and gutter removal and replacement, driveway replacement, lawn restoration, asphalt wedging of driveways, and detectable warning field installation. The contract quantities of the Bidder's Proposal shall be considered approximate and the City of Racine reserves the right to delete any portion of the contract quantities in accordance with the needs of the City of Racine and the property owners.
