Renovation of a museum in Holland, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

Reference Number 0000390201 Bid Intent Not Available The City of Holland will receive sealed bids from prospective firms to provide all material, labor, tools, equipment and all other necessary equipment and supplies for the installation of a power ventilation system for the attic space of the Holland Museum located on the corner of 10th Street and River Avenue in Holland, Michigan. The City of Holland is seeking lump sum proposals for the installation of a power ventilation system for the attic space of the Museum located on the corner of 10th Street and River Avenue in Holland Michigan. The specific mechanical requirements for operating the museum include higher than normal humidity in the display spaces. The second-floor ceiling is not impermeable, and this humidity causes condensation issues in the attic during colder weather. The City has elected to ventilate the attic to reduce the humidity in the attic space and eliminate the condensation issues. An existing gravity vent located near the center of attic space and in the north slope of the existing standing seam metal roof is to be used for installation of an exhaust fan. Two new intake hoods, located in the lower portion of the east and west slopes of the metal roof, are to be installed. The exhaust fan is to be controlled by a humidistat. Power for the fan is to be provided from the existing panel in the second-floor mechanical space. Project Scope: This is a turn-key project. The successful bidder will be required to perform all of the work listed in the following scope. Remove existing gravity vent Modify opening in the roof and deck as necessary to accommodate the new exhaust fan and thru-roof exhaust duct Furnish and install a new cricket in the existing metal roof upward of the opening and install new flashing for the new duct penetration Remove sufficient sections of the existing metal roof in the east and west slopes for installation of the new intake vents Remove existing roof deck at these locations Furnish and install new curbs for the intake vents. Curbs must be custom made to the slope of the roof so that the intake hoods mount in a horizontal position Furnish and install new crickets upwards of the curbs Furnish and install flashing and reinstall metal roof sections Furnish and install intake hoods Furnish and install new power exhaust fan Furnish and install power wiring and all controls Demonstrate full operation to the facility manager or owner's representative Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % The City of Holland reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularities/informalities in the Bids received and to split the bid if deemed desirable by the City.
