Opened in 2009, the City of Independence Cable-Dahmer Arena is a multi-purpose, state-of-the-art venue which hosts a variety of events including concerts, theatrical tours, sporting events and other community gathering events and is operated by the Oak View Group. This project includes a 2,700 sf addition for both storage and office functions. The construction will be steel framed with steel stud cavity walls and interior non-load bearing stud partitions will divide the internal space. Finishes will be consistent with the existing arena building, including acoustic ceiling tile and gypsum board ceilings, carpet within offices and a sealed concrete slab elsewhere. Along with the construction of this addition, the contractor will also be responsible for procuring and installing security wiring/conduit, and a Walk-in Cooler for this project. Site work includes grading, modifications to the north drive, sidewalk and parking area, new bollards, and downspout connection to storm drainage.
