Roadway Resurfacing C.R. 615 - Zion Road P/o Sections 1c-2a Asbury Ave. To Old Stage Road Highway Route Segment Code(S) 615M0103 to 615M0201 in Egg Harbor Township Original bid bond AND Consent of Surety documents are required to be received prior to the time of bid opening. Missing documents or documents that do not match what is uploaded below will result in a rejected bid. Question Deadline 07/01/2025 at 11:00 AM ET Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond must be not less than ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid, except that no check or bid bond shall be for more than $20,000.00 and made payable to the Atlantic County Treasurer which the undersigned agrees is to be forfeited as liquidated damages and not a penalty if the Contract is awarded to the undersigned and the undersigned shall fail to execute the Contract for the project or furnish the required bond. Questions must be submitted no later than June 19, 2025 Any questions concerning this specification must be submitted in writing through the Bid Express electronic bidding portal question section of the specific bid The project involves the resurfacing of Zion Road (Co. Rt. 615) - Section 1C-2A in Egg Harbor Township, by Milling and resurfacing with: HMA Base Course 3" Thick and HMA Surface Course 2" Thick. Improvements where necessary include: shoulder rehabilitation, replacement of curbing, driveways, installation of concrete gutter on inside of horizontal curves (where deem feasible), rehabilitation/replacement of drainage structure(s) and piping, traffic striping/markings/symbols, raised pavement markers, signage, removal (where feasible) of fixed objects, guide rail work, and all other items shown on the project plans. The depth of the storm sewer shown on the plans is from the surface grade to the invert of the pipe line. It is the Contractor's responsibility to call before they dig, and if needed perform test pit excavations to determine actual dimensions and locations of utilities. If a conflict is found with the proposed improvements the Contractor may be allowed, with the County Engineer's approval, to use if and where directed pipe material and/or adjust inverts to avoid utility relocation and contract down time. If not allowed, then it will be the Contractor's responsibility to coordinate with the utility companies for the relocation of underground facilities. Major work items: "HMA Milling, more than 3" to 6", "Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64 Base Course 3" Thick" and "Hot Mix Asphalt 12.5ME Surface Course 2" Thick". The final paving operations for the surface application on existing bridge shall be performed as described on plans or otherwise approved by engineer. Paving will be allowed in only one direction of travel of the County Roadway at a time, unless otherwise approved by the County Engineer. Traffic flow for local traffic within the work zone, shall be maintained in direction of paving operations. Traffic shall be detoured as per the traffic control plan or when less impactful work is being performed alternating traffic scheme may be used. Each phase of work must be scheduled to complete HMA base paving prior to the end the work week. SBE (0%)
