The City of Atlantic City Fire Department is seeking an upgrade to its existing LION Fire safety Trailer. Usage of the brand name is for reference and bidders are to respond based upon the equivalent or better standard as contained within the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law. Project Overview This bid specification outlines the requirements for upgrading a LION Fire Safety Trailer, specifically focusing on the LION Primary Smart Prop Computer Upgrade. The upgrade includes hardware and software enhancements, replacement of key components, operator re-training, and a warranty period. The scope is limited to LION simulation equipment and does not include inspection or service of the trailer chassis, AC units, frame, generator, or other non-simulation components. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, travel, and equipment necessary to complete the following upgrades and services for the LION Fire Safety Trailer: 1. Hardware & Software Upgrades o Upgrade the Primary Smart Prop Computer system with the latest LION Prop Neuron Assembly. o Install the Prop Neuron Install Kit to ensure compatibility and functionality. o Replace all existing smoke machines with new Mini Smoke Machines. o Replace batteries in all extinguishers to ensure reliable operation. o Install a new router with a Verizon Air Card for enhanced connectivity. o Upgrade the network switch to support improved communication between components. o Install a Media Pi for enhanced control and interface capabilities. o Provide all necessary cables and Breakout Boards (BOB) for system integration. 2. New Remote Controls o Supply new Smart Prop Remotes to replace existing units, ensuring compatibility with the upgraded system. 3. Connectivity o Connect all accessory props to the new prop computers for seamless operation. o Ensure robust network integration using the new router, Verizon Air Card, and network switch. 4. Consumable Parts o Provide a stock of consumable parts to support ongoing maintenance and operation of the upgraded system. 5. Training and Certification o Conduct re-training and certification for primary operators to ensure proficiency with the upgraded system. o Training shall cover operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all new components. 6. LION Remote Access o Provide 3 years of LION Remote Access for system monitoring, updates, and support. 7. Warranty o Provide a 1-year warranty on all primary props, covering defects in materials and workmanship. 8. Logistics o Include all travel, labor, and materials costs in the bid Ensure timely delivery and installation of all components.
