Site work for a water / sewer project in Sioux City, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of the rerouting of the surface drainage coming from Glenn Avenue to an underground drainage storm pipe. The Floyd Golf Course management has requested that the open storm water channel be replaced with an underground storm water pipe. The golf course has pledged $125,000 for this replacement. A portion of the existing metal storm sewer on the golf course is failing and causing erosion on the course that is not easily repaired by staff. The open channel is approximately 350-linear feet. To replace this channel with an underground pipe, approximately 400-linear feet of existing pipe will also have to be replaced. The receiving pipe is failing and undersized for the flow that the open channel is conveying. As of June 14, 2025, this project is included in the City's 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
